IPowerWeb is the world's worst web host!

I know, because that's where my websites reside.

The only reason I'm still on iPowerWeb is because it's cheap and I'm already here. If this was a commercial site, or if I had an iota less patience, I'd be gone. Tech support is brain-dead ("Hi, I just got an email saying I need to change my domain pointing. I already moved my website and made the request two weeks ago". "You are on manual path. To have us move your website you need to set to automatic or request that we move it." "I just told you, I don't need any files moved, just point my DNS."

Idiots. So what did they do? They moved my remaining files, so when I checked my website today I get a page saying "I'm changing servers: click here to go to my new site at www.darinvolpe.com", which was the page I had left on the old server since I DIDN'T WANT ANY FILES MOVED SO WHEN I HAD DNS POINTED THE SITE WOULD START WORKING NORMALLY." So, even though I selected manual transition, and even though I messaged tech support telling them I already moved all my files, they copied my files anyway. I am SO glad I expected them to fuck up and made sure there were only a couple of files left on the old server so if they did move it, only a couple of files would be overwritten.

And of course, my FTP passwords (old or new) didn't work and I had to go in and fix everything myself.

STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM IPOWERWEB.
